​   COACH TONY HOUSE

Tony House is one of the most respected figures in the Canadian basketball landscape. Born and raised in Ottawa, Tony was a standout player at St. Pius X High School, winning multiple City Championships, earning two Ottawa High School All-Star selections, and being named game MVP.

Tony went on to play at the University of Manitoba, where he started at point guard for three seasons. His playing career included a CIAU Bronze Medal and being part of a team ranked #1 in the country for much of his final season. He was also invited to Canadian National Team tryouts at age 18 and later received a tryout opportunity for the 1988 Olympic team.

Now entering his 37th coaching season, Tony has coached at the high school, club, and prep levels. His coaching accomplishments include winning a Senior AAAA City Championship with Sacred Heart and leading Ottawa Elite to its first Division 1 Provincial Championship in 2015.

Tony is best known as the Founder and Head Coach of Canada Topflight Academy. Under his leadership, CTA has become a national prep powerhouse, winning three National Championships, including back-to-back NPA titles, and the 2025 Platinum Circuit Championship. CTA continues to compete in top Canadian leagues and is the only Canadian team in the U.S.-based Elite Prep League.

Tony has helped develop numerous athletes who have gone on to play NCAA Division I, U SPORTS, represent Canada on National Teams, and compete professionally overseas and in the CEBL.

His personal achievements include being named NPA Head Coach of the Year, receiving the Martin Luther King DreamKEEPERS Community Leadership Award, and being inducted into the Nepean Sports Wall of Fame.
