Sydney is a fifth year transfer student from Arnprior District High school. Sydney is a multi-sport athlete playing basketball, volleyball, soccer, and competing in track and field. Throughout her high-school career she has put in over 400 hours of community service towards youth basketball and captained her team 4 years in a row while maintaining her honour roll status as a student.
Sydney started playing competitive basketball at the age of 12 with the Arnprior Basketball Club. Coached by Anthony Carter of the Carleton Ravens and Jamie McLean of the Algonquin Thunder, her team then went on to make two Division 1 OBA appearances and silver medaling in 2017.
During her high-school career Sydney has led the Rapids in scoring and assists and to an impressive four year consecutive undefeated regular season winning streak. The Rapids also have 4 UOVHSAA championships, 4 EOSSA appearances and silver medaled in both her grade 9 and 12 year. She graduated with 3 MVP honours, both junior and senior female athlete of the year and has earned numerous other awards for her athletic versatility, dedication and leadership skills.
"I have been watching Sydney play for the last few years and always have liked what she has to offer. Sydney brings experience, smarts, maturity, game sense, shooting ability and defensive attitude! She will make a positive impact to our team immediately!
Welcome to our CTA family Sydney!"
