Canada Topflight Academy would like to welcome SAM DYCK to our Senior Men's program for the 2018-2019 season.

Raised in the historic basketball town of Almonte, Ont, Samuel  grew up listening to the stories of James Naismith (the inventor of basketball) and loving his game.  One of 4 brothers Sam is a  6'5" shooting guard / small forward.

Sam started his competitive journey with the Naismith basketball club, medaling at the OBAs at U14 and U15 under Kevin Hickey's coaching. At U16 he played for ONL AAA taking silver under Glenn Harper's tutelage. That year he also led his Almonte District high school junior boys basketball team to a gold medal finish at the OFSAA 'A' Championship. The following year he played for the U17 Ottawa Elite and coaches Patrick Sullivan and Brendon Edwards with that team earning a silver medal at the OBAs and gold at CYBL. This past year he led his senior boys team at Almonte District High School to a 5th place finish at OFSAA 'A' Championship. Sam is an exceptional multi-sport athlete. He is the starting wide receiver for the Thunderbolts  football team and centre midfielder for the soccer team. Currently Sam is playing for coach Davey Senalus and the Gloucester Elite team in the Nike Signature and OBA leagues.
