​Canada Topflight Academy is pleased to announce that Kenora, Ontario's RICKY HOULE will be part of the program for the 2017-18 season.​​

Canada Topflight Academy welcomes Ricky Houle, a 6'3" guard who hails from Wauzhushk Onigum First Nation located in Kenora, Ontario. Ricky has only been playing basketball since grade 10 but in his very first game he scored 33 points and collected 15 rebounds.  In his first season he averaged 25 pts, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists. Houle has only been playing competitively for just over a year, playing in the top men's league in Winnipeg this past summer and other elite level leagues in Winnipeg.  

Ricky led Saint Thomas Aquinas High School junior varsity team to a championship and an undefeated season in 2014 and helped his varsity team to a championship final in 2015 earning him team MVP honors back to back in grades 10 and 11. He has played in provincial level tournaments in the United States and represented Canada in the 2016 NABI in Phoenix, Arizona.

He is known for being a elite defender and shooter with perseverance as an added asset.. Ricky strives for personal success on and off the court by putting in work on his own time working with personal trainers to build body strength and improve his basketball skills. He thinks basketball will not only help him grow on the court but will help him grow as a person. Ricky is also a great student athlete knowing his responsibilities on the court and in the classroom.
