Canada Topflight Academy is pleased to announce that Ottawa, Ontario's LUAL AKOT will be  part of the program for the 2017-18 season.

Akot, an athletic 6'3" combo guard (class of 2019) will attend CTA and has the potential to develop into a great all-around player in the years to come. Lual began playing competitive basketball in grade 7 for the Ottawa Boys and Girls Club AAA Thunderbolts. Through hard work and dedication he has consistently progressed throughout the years and is currently playing on the U16 Ottawa Elite team which this past season earned a silver medal in the 2015-2016 CYBL Championships. Lual earned a spot in the starting rotation and was a key to the Capitals successful run.

Lual has been attending Notre Dame High School since grade 7. He has led the Silver Eagles program to two City Championships; an Elementary title in grade 8 and a Junior championship this past season. Lual participated in the Elementary All-Star game and most recently was selected the game MVP for the National-Capital HS All-Star Classic. Akot who won a scholarship to attend the prestigious Adidas Top 40 camp this past June in Ottawa was voted the camp's MVP.
