Canada Topflight Academy would like to welcome LIAM BENDZSA for the 2018-19 season.

Liam is a 6'4" guard/forward who was introduced to basketball at the age of 12 through Carleton University's Junior Ravens program. At 13, he started playing club basketball with Ottawa Shooting Stars, helping them secure a 2015-2016 EOBA Championship; averaging 20+ points and 10+ rebounds per game. Liam represented Fielding Drive Public School as a OCEAA City All-Star in Grade 7 and Grade 8, earning an athletic leadership award at Fielding in his final year. In Grade 9, Liam earned MVP with the Brookfield High School Junior Boys; averaging about 20 points and 15 rebounds per game.

Liam was named Junior MVP at the Ottawa Hoops Showcase in August 2017 and identified as a "Top 10" prospect in Ottawa at their subsequent October 2017 Showcase. For the last two seasons he has played club basketball with Ottawa Elite, where his perseverance and resiliency helped him continue to contribute - never missing a practice or a game despite losing half a season to a broken wrist. Liam has also achieved a blue belt in karate. His personal mantra is kaizen: continuous self-improvement.

Liam looks forward to continuing to grow and develop his game with the CTA Family.
