​Canada Topflight Academy is pleased to announce that Ottawa, Ontario's JADE LYONS will be part of the program for the 2017-2018 women's team's inaugural season!


​Jade Lyons comes to CTA from Earl of March Secondary School where she just completed grade 10 as an honour roll student. She was part of the varsity basketball team in grade 9 and in grade 10 she was the co-captain of the basketball team. Lyons was also captain and quarterback of the varsity girls touch football team this past season. At Earl of March Jade won MVP for basketball and MVP for football, as well as being nominated for Outstanding Junior Female Athlete. This year Jade was chosen to participate in the Ottawa High School All Star Classic.  

Jade  started playing basketball in 2011 for the Naismith Gaels. She went on to play 5 more seasons with their competitive team. This past season Jade played for the U19 Nepean Blue Devils in the OBL X-league as a 15 year old. The team was ranked 8th in the division and then went on to win a silver medal in Division 2. 

Outside of basketball, Jade is a part of all different intramural sports at school, including volleyball, floor hockey and dodge ball.
